What does it take to get some attention around here! When the TVs on, it’s like the whole world blurs away in the background. I try to ask my kids and husband what they want for dinner, or even what they want to drink with dinner, and nothing. No response, not even a nod. It’s like they are hypnotized and instructed to stare at the box with the flashing lights. I wonder if I could go to http://www.direct.tv/ and find a TV package that only gave you music and educational channel. Would they be so mesmerized? I know it’s not the content of the programs they watch because when I watch those shows for even a few seconds I feel a little dumber. I really do think it’s just the action of giving something your attention because it moves and makes noise. Isn’t that why all of these companies are paying people to wave and dance with signs on the street corners? You can’t help but pay attention to them. So we’ve downgraded ourselves to this: flashing lights and wavy signs. We’re going nowhere fast.

My brother Mike is bugging me again about the hammock and stand he told me to browse on the internet. He was asking me since last week if I can help him find the most durable and the most affordable for him. Unfortunately, I don’t have any idea as to where I should buy him but luckily one of my online friend suggested me a website to browse and by just clicking on it I quickly had the item on checkout. My uncle owns a travel agency in Florida that is pretty successful. He has several travel agents who work for him. Most of the time people come in to his office to get some help and guidance when they are planning a big vacation. A lot of times people are trying to plan their honeymoons or retirement vacations. My uncle said that a lot of the time people mention that they wish they could do all of the planning online. That made him realize that he should have a website where people could go to plan their vacations and even chat with someone live if they had questions. My uncle knew that my father in law also owns a small business and asked him for some advice. He said that he needed help setting up internet for his company and a website. My father in law told him that he just searched t1.xo online and was able to find everything he needed to set up internet for his company. Hopefully this will help my uncle set up everything he needs to make his travel agency even more marketable.

I was browsing the internet this morning for I was looking for a safe baby carrier that I thought of giving to my sister who just gave birth to a bouncing baby boy. I tried asking my online buddies about it and surprising they recommended me to browse Babycarriers.com.

Well, as tested and proven their baby backpack carrier was the best seller amongst my friends. They said that its soft structured makes it very comfortable and easy to manage. It means you can wear this with your baby in the most comfortable manner. With its padded waist bands and shoulder straps it gives you the pressure of the baby’s weight to your hips and back which mean you can carry even the heaviest baby ever! Lol! These back packs can be used from 6 months of age on up to 45 lbs in most cases. It really sounds great but I still thought of browsing the website and the scootababy caught my attention. Hmm.. honestly, I really can’t decide which of this carriers should I buy. I’m not supposed to buy two but if ever I can’t decide before the month ends I think I would submit to that resolution. Lol! How about you guys, what do you think?

I’m currently looking for the Orbeez Magic Maker that my niece Erika loves. You see, they are about to return home to Canada this week and as a farewell gift I thought of giving her this magic maker. She just loves Orbeez, she has actually loads of them in back home. But when she heard that there is such thing as a magic maker she was so thrilled that she ask me if I can buy her one. And because she was our one and only princess I said yes. That’s why now I’m cramming on this purchase! Urgh! Hope it will arrive tomorrow before they go.

Have you seen the latest prana clothing? Well, if you haven’t you better check them out now before they sold out. My husband is a fan of this outdoor clothing. I’m having problems with my son’s ear. You see, he hates it when I clean his ear and I am even more afraid when he cries and move a lot while doing it. Having no choice, I never dare to clean them which unfortunately is a wrong decision to make. That’s why when he complained about his ear being hurt I immediately submit him to an ear doctor. While on the clinic my son was a bit anxious especially when he saw the digital welch allyn otoscope the doctor was carrying. He started crying but the doctor immediately pacifies him with some toys. Urgh! I really hate it when this happens. I hope everything will be fine very soon.

The internet is a beautiful thing! Not only are we able to find answers to questions that happen to pop into our cluttered and inquiring minds, we are provided with options for just about everything. When searching for the best cable company for a friend who had just moved to town, I went to http://www.cabletvadvisor.com/ on my computer and was able to read about my options. I have found that I use the internet daily. I am 55 years old and I still read a real newspaper, my monthly magazines, and my Bible. When my young grandsons are grown, I predict that they will never read any of those by holding them. All the knowledge they gain from reading will be in the palm of their hand. At Christmas, my 11 year old grandson sat on one end of the sofa engaged in a game on my laptop. My 10 year old grandson was playing with his iPod Touch, and my 2.5 year old grandson was zipping through the applications on his mom’s iPad with no effort. I have a difficult time learning how to use my smart phone – a device, by the way, on which I may enjoy all of the aforementioned pleasures!

I look forward to watching the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day parade all year. I can’t explain why I love it so much. I know it’s a little bit cheesy, but nothing says “Thanksgiving” to me like the parade. I wake up on Thanksgiving morning excited about watching it. The balloons, the dancing, the singing…I love all of it. I can’t wait until I have kids so that I can share the parade with them every year. You can absolutely guarantee that my direct tv is tuned to ABC every Thanksgiving to watch the parade. Even though there’s nothing groundbreaking that happens, I just love the feeling I get while I’m watching it. This is my first year that I’m not spending Thanksgiving with my family; I’m spending it with my in-laws. I’m not going to lie, I was not completely happy about this arrangement. However, I tried to keep in mind that at the very least I’d be able to watch my beloved Thanksgiving Day parade. It did help ease the sting of not seeing my family, at least a little bit.

My sister asked me to checkout out Direct TV New Philadelphia to see what great packages we can get when we move to our new apartment. I'm a little nervous about living with her to be honest. We are kind of the new Odd couple. I'm neat, type a, and a homebody. Planting myself in front of the tv after a long day or to relax on the weekend is heaven to me. My sister though. She's loud, and messy. It doesn't bother her to leave dirty dishes in the sink for days! And she is a social butterfly! She has to be out and about. It's fine by me until she expects me to go with her. No thank you! And when she comes home in the middle of the night and is loud. Ugh. The one thing we do agree on is tv (thank heaven!) She does get on my nerves when she asks a lot of questions about the show we are watching (which, obviously causes me to miss the dialogue!).
