The daily break

This guest post from Efren Gill

I used to always just take my lunch break in the break room at work. I never bothered to even attempt to go home. As far as I could see, there was little point to attempting to make the trip back home. This all changed however when I realized that I could watch my satellite tv from when I was at home.

I had never really thought about spending my lunch break doing something like this, but it really does make a lot of sense. You don't just have to eat when you are on a break, the time is yours!

I noticed that I used to eat and then have a good chunk of idle time were I was doing nothing. I was not getting paid for this time, but I was still sitting there at work. Sometimes I would even go back to working on what I was doing. Why would I do this when I wasn't being paid? I wish I knew the answer to that question, but it is something that I no longer do.

My coworkers won't see me hanging around the break room anymore. Rather, they are going to see me exiting the door come break time. This way I will be enjoying my time off in the way that I actually want to spend it. I recommend that everyone do the same thing.
