Tag Chain On Blogging Errors

This is a tag from Eds.

Here are the rules:

~Start copy paste~Instructions:
To play this game, all you must do is explain what your most common writing mistake is. Then, simply tag 5 people for the meme. Those 5 will, in return, tag 5 more people. Ultimately, readers should see a tapestry of common grammar and spelling mistakes. Therefore, anyone who feel ashamed of their errors will feel a bit more confident and secure.Copy the person and persons’ names that sent it to you and add your own at the bottom of the list. It really helps build community.

The answers:

Shine with Grace : Mixing the word ‘from’ with ‘form’ all the time.

Trinity : I sometimes feel confused to use past tense or present tense when I share my stories.

LadyJava : Typing too fast that sometimes I miss words in between.

Genie King : I type too fast too… always end up with ‘tot he’… when it should be ‘to the’.

Spiff : I type too fast that I end up with sentences that have no spaceinbetween… LOL!

Nessa : Mostly grammatical mistakes… but it doesn’t really bother me as long as my readers understand

Choc Mint Girl: Obviously grammatical error due to lack of vocabulary…but getting better and better and better…he he he…

Liza : I type too fast too that’s why sometimes my spellings are wrongf… see. Lol And same with Grace, mixing the word from and form at times. (I’ll be posting this tag to my other

blogCecil: errors on grammar and sometimes I don’t know where to place my comma or when to use colon or semi-colon too.)Nancy: I’m always trying to use every function of my fingers but can’t really help but slip which resulted to pressing the wrong key most of the time.Darlene: I always made a mistake by typing HELATH instead of HEALTH. Sometime the FOR is FOT because the R and the T are very close to each other lol! Anyway i always do mistakes when i type, everybody does i guess no matter how good you are in typing you always make some mistakes.Bisdak Footprints I usually have wrong typo when I am in a hurry typing entries during PPP time because need to be fast so I can grab as many opps as I can.For that, wrong typo making my english look worse to others. They read it before I can do some editing..they might think my english is so bad..ahhermmm…but i edit it anyways…

Twerlermz : I’m using basic or simple english most of the time so i think my most common mistakes are : redundancy, spelling and grammar (toink!)

Thira: I type too fast too, sometimes my mind is way ahead with my typing so I miss out and misspell words and I have to go back and read again and correct it. Sometimes using the past and present tense in writing, and using the hyphen properly, wehehe:)

Juliana: I always mis-spell “you”. More often that not I type it as “oyu” because I’m typing fast and because it’s a three letter word, it’s prone to get typed incorrectly. It’s good there’s a spelling checker hehe, I always catch the mistake before it is published.

Teebob : If I write an article about a male person I often use her or she instead of him or he.

Norm : Sometimes I’m confused of the grammar and right spelling. Then I’m typing so fast that usually miss-spell taht instead of that and many more.

Brian: typing errors just like Norms and Teebob. I don’t edit my work before posting it.

Catsy:Most of my mistakes are grammatically incorrect sentences, spellings, typographical errors and sometimes, the words I type precedes my thoughts that’s why sometimes it’s unorganized.. HEhehe.. Pax Chriti!!!

Noel: Most of my mistakes are my grammar and not worried with the spelling because blogger platorm is providing a check spelling button, and also the sequence of thoughts it is always not in order.

Denz : I also sometimes feel confused to use past tense or present tense when I am writing, specially when it has a lot of sentences hehehe lolz c”,)

Eds : I have similar errors like most of the bloggers quoted. Mixed words, grammars, past tense typographical errors.

Jhona: Error on grammar, most of the time spelling, mixing the words, typographical errors

How 'bout you Nova?

Inimitable Man

A special Christmas Gift for that wonderful man, your husband. When you met him you felt and knew that this was the man you wanted to share the rest of your life with. You knew his strength and love were unique and you wanted to be with him forever. He was not one of many words, but the few he uttered, made you a Queen conquering the world and sitting on top of it. All you have to do is look in his eyes to know that you have made the best choice, that without him, life would not offer the same pleasures and excitement. In his presence everyday humdrum events turn into excitement and fun and you know that your life’s journey would not be as fulfilling without his presence at your side. For that special man, your husband, a special gift.

Tips for a good relationship

10 TIPS FOR A GOOD RELATIONSHIP

1. Every morning make a conscious commitment to eliminate blame, criticism, and invalidation from your side of the relationship. If it leaks out, acknowledge it, and apologize to your partner.

2. Pay attention to and express appreciation for positive things your partner says or does--no matter how small!

3. Ask your partner to write down what makes him/her feel loved and special. Do the same for yourself. Exchange lists. Then, every day, no matter how you feel about him or her, do one loving/caring behavior for your partner!

4. Honestly look at the things YOU do that you know are not helpful to the relationship. If you want something different, you need to do something different!

5. Develop compassion for your partner and for yourself. Reactive, defensive thoughts, words and behavior are ways we protect ourselves from "danger". Watch yourself reacting and ask yourself, "What does this remind me of from my own past?" and, " What can I do differently at this point to become safer for my partner?"

6. Ask very specifically for what you need and say 'why' it is important to you. Your partner cannot read your mind and actually experiences life differently than you do!

7. Learn new skills that make communication safe and effective for both of you.

8. Know that both romantic love and the power struggle are not the destination, but are stages on the road to 'real love'. Frustration and conflict are keys for healing and growth for both of you!

9. Read Getting the Love You Want, by Harville Hendrix, Ph.D., for new understanding of underlying issues that fuel frustration in your relationship and of ways to co-create a better relationship.

10. Most relationships can be 'saved' and transformed, and getting rid of the partner does not get rid of the 'problem'! If you think you need help, call for an appointment or come to one of our workshops or classes. You can create the relationship you want.

The art of Beauty

How To Make The Most Out of Your Looks

To find the most flattering make-up, study the shape and proportion of your face and features as carefully as you did your figure. You'll find that you fit into one of four basic facial types:

*oval*
*round*
*long*
*square*

How To Determine the Shape of Your Face....

Round - fuller than other shapes; no definition; no hint of cheekbone.

Long - usually narrow with a long jaw.

Square - a full jawline (more horizontal than diagonal); broad or high forehead; equal width at temples and jaw.

Oval - well-balanced top to bottom; clearly defined cheekbones; diagonal jawline.

Tips To Make A Round Face Look Longer, Slimmer

Keep the concentration of eyeshadow between the inner corner and the center of your eye.Blend out and up toward the outer edges of your forehead.

Brush on blush in a diagonal line, from under your cheekbone up to the tip of your ear.

Wear hair softly feathered at sides and brushed forward onto cheeks.

Tips To Make a Square Face Look Rounder, Softer

Brush on a triangle of eyeshadow from middle of eye to far outer corner; blend toward forehead corners.

Apply blush in a soft arc; from middle of cheekbone around and up into hairline.

Keep brows naturally arched.

Wear hair full, in a chin-length bob and curled under.

Emphasize lips with color, as this will bring attention to the center of your face.

Make-Up Tips

Put on sunblock when you go outdoors - on face, hands, and arms (where skin ages faster).

Always keep to a fine point your make-up pencils.
The sharper (note: as opposed to rounded) the point, the easier to work with and the more precise the line.

Carry a make-up kit that duplicates the one you have at home - so touch-ups always match.

When applying mascara to bottom lashes, hold a tissue under the eye for a no-smudge finish.

For an even application of liquid liner, tilt your head back slightly, hold your eye half-open,then smooth the lid slightly, gently, and run brush as close as possible to lashline.

Follow blush with a sweep of translucent powder for a no-seam finish.

If you favor an eyebrow pencil, stroke it against the bristles of your brow brush; then brush color directly on hairs to fill in for a natural effect.

Sweep translucent powder under eye before applying shadow to lid; then easily brush off fallen color particles.

And one thing I’ve noticed from other blogs is these PayPerPost (PPP) . My curiosity led me to these PPP. I don’t have any idea what is all about and most of bloggers they have PPP links beside their site. I open one of my close comrades locates to know and asked what PPP means and should I dig up my site as well; (sigh). The entire fixation in my mind was wrong there were a ruling or regulations that should follow before using it. Hopefully soon I am belonging to them and get an opportunity to get paid, as well.

Food

I' am planning to make this sweet vegetable lasagna when my hubby arrived, one of his favorite food.
Lasagna Ingredients:
8-10 sheets of no-boil lasagna noodles
2-3 small zucchini, sliced thinly lengthwise
1-2 small yellow summer squash, sliced thinly lengthwise
6 tomatoes, cooked skinned and seeded (or 1 c. canned whole tomatoes)
2 c. julienned parsnips
1 c. julienned carrots
3 c. baby spinach, coarsely chopped
Extra Virgin olive oil
Salt and pepper1/2 c. coarsely chopped basil (reserved)
Bechamel Sauce Ingredients:
6 T. unsalted butter or vegan margarine
6 T. unbleached flour
3 c. 2% dairy or unsweetened soy milk
Salt, pepper, and grated nutmeg
Tofu Filling Ingredients:
1 block extra firm tofu, drained of its water
1/2 c. freshly grated Pecorino Romano cheese(optional)
1/2 C. chopped parsley1/2 t. grated nutmeg
1 t. salt
To prepare:
Drizzle olive oil over the bottom of an 8 X 8 baking dish and set aside
1. Prepare bechamel sauce:
Heat milk until hot but not boiling. (You can add room temperature milk, but heating speeds up the cooking process and in my experience, makes a smoother sauce.) Melt butter in a saucepan but do not let it brown. Slowly whisk in flour until you have a smooth roux, continue whisking for a minute or two and begin adding the hot milk. Cook and stir constantly until the sauce thickens and is creamy but not runny. Season to taste and set aside.
2. Prepare tofu filling:Crumble drained tofu into a bowl. Add remaining ingredients, mix together with a fork, season and set aside. (If you are preparing the vegan dairy free version, add three tablespoons of nutritional yeast instead of the grated cheese.)
3. Prepare vegetables:Heat a little olive oil in a skillet over medium low heat. Saute the parsnips and carrots for 5-8 minutes until crisp tender. Add both the zucchini and squash and toss, just to heat through. Remove from heat.
4. Assemble lasagna:Spread about 1/2 cup of the tomatoes over the bottom of the baking dish. Cover with two sheets of lasagna noodles. Add a layer of vegetables, a few more spoonsful of tomato, and spread about 1/2 c. of bechamel sauce over this layer.
Add a second layer of pasta, alternating the direction of the layers. Top this pasta layer with the tofu filling. Next do a layer of fresh spinach, add a drizzle of olive oil, a pinch of salt, and top with yet a third layer of pasta. Add more of the vegetable mixture, a few dollops of the cooked tomato, a little more bechamel, and cover with two more sheets of pasta.
Top the casserole off with a nice cover of bechamel sauce, a sprinkling of salt and pepper, a drizzle of olive oil, and the chopped fresh basil. Finally, spoon a little more of the tomato mixture around the sides of the lasagna.
Cover with foil and bake in a preheated oven at 375 degrees for about 40 minutes, then remove the foil and bake another 15 minutes. If desired, top with remaining sauce. Serve hot.
Note: Bechamel sauce will thicken while it rests, a gentle reheating should loosen it up. If necessary, add very small amounts of milk, water, or stock until you regain the desired consistency.
I really appreciate knowing how to make a bechamel sauce because it can be used in so many other dishes and this recipe is so creamy and light. Get adventurous and try the fabulous non-dairy option as well!
If you dislike the flavor of nutmeg, simply omit it and add an extra few turns from the pepper mill. Remember to always use a light hand and taste your food when you add seasonings!

Graveyard shift work

LONDON - Like UV rays and diesel exhaust fumes, working the graveyard shift will soon be listed as a "probable" cause of cancer. It is a surprising step validating a concept once considered wacky. And it is based on research that finds higher rates of breast and prostate cancer among women and men whose work day starts after dark.

Next month, the International Agency for Research on Cancer, the cancer arm of the World Health Organization, will add overnight shift work as a probable carcinogen. The American Cancer Society says it will likely follow. Up to now, the U.S. organization has considered the work-cancer link to be "uncertain, controversial or unproven."
The higher cancer rates don't prove working overnight can cause cancer. There may be other factors common among graveyard shift workers that raise their risk for cancer.
However, scientists suspect that overnight work is dangerous because it disrupts the circadian rhythm, the body's biological clock. The hormone melatonin, which can suppress tumor development, is normally produced at night.
If the graveyard shift theory eventually proves correct, millions of people worldwide could be affected. Experts estimate that nearly 20 percent of the working population in developed countries work night shifts.
Among the first to spot the night shift-cancer connection was Richard Stevens, a cancer epidemiologist and professor at the University of Connecticut Health Center. In 1987, Stevens published a paper suggesting a link between light at night and breast cancer.
Back then, he was trying to figure out why breast cancer incidence suddenly shot up starting in the 1930s in industrialized societies, where nighttime work was considered a hallmark of progress. Most scientists were bewildered by his proposal.
But in recent years, several studies have found that women working at night over many years were indeed more prone to breast cancer. Also, animals that have their light-dark schedules switched develop more cancerous tumors and die earlier.
Some research also suggests that men working at night may have a higher rate of prostate cancer.
Because these studies mostly focused on nurses and airline crews, bigger studies in different populations are needed to confirm or disprove the findings.
There are still plenty of skeptics. And to put the risk in perspective, the "probable carcinogen" tag means that the link between overnight work and cancer is merely plausible.
Among the long list of agents that are listed as "known" carcinogens are alcoholic beverages and birth control pills. Such lists say nothing about exposure amount or length of time or how likely they are to cause cancer. The American Cancer Society Web site notes that carcinogens do not cause cancer at all times.
Still, many doubters of the night shift link may be won over by the IARC's analysis to be published in the December issue of the journal Lancet Oncology.
"The indications are positive," said Vincent Cogliano, who heads up the agency's carcinogen classifications unit. "There was enough of a pattern in people who do shift work to recognize that there's an increase in cancer, but we can't rule out the possibility of other factors."
Scientists believe having lower melatonin levels can raise the risk of developing cancer. Light shuts down melatonin production, so people working in artificial light at night may have lower melatonin levels.
Melatonin can be taken as a supplement, but experts don't recommend it long-term, since that could ruin the body's ability to produce it naturally.
Sleep deprivation may be another factor in cancer risk. People who work at night are not usually able to completely reverse their day and night cycles.
"Night shift people tend to be day shift people who are trying to stay awake at night," said Mark Rea, director of the Light Research Center at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in New York, who is not connected with the IARC analysis.
Not getting enough sleep makes your immune system vulnerable to attack, and less able to fight off potentially cancerous cells.
Confusing your body's natural rhythm can also lead to a breakdown of other essential tasks. "Timing is very important," Rea said. Certain processes like cell division and DNA repair happen at regular times.
Even worse than working an overnight shift is flipping between daytime and overnight work.
"The problem is re-setting your body's clock," said Aaron Blair, of the United States' National Cancer Institute, who chaired IARC's recent meeting on shift work. "If you worked at night and stayed on it, that would be less disruptive than constantly changing shifts."
Anyone whose light and dark schedule is often disrupted — including frequent long-haul travelers or insomniacs — could theoretically face the same increased cancer risk, Stevens said.
He advises workers to sleep in a darkened room once they get off work. "The balance between light and dark is very important for your body. Just get a dark night's sleep."
Meanwhile, scientists are trying to come up with ways to reduce night workers' cancer risk. And some companies are experimenting with different lighting, seeking a type that doesn't affect melatonin production.
So far, the color that seems to have the least effect on melatonin is one that few people would enjoy working under: red.

Kuala-Lumpur

Shopping and entertainment district in KL, and the road that runs through it, Jalan BB. The area is home to many landmark shopping centres, caf├ęs, clubs, shops, malls and specialty shops.
Bukit Bintang also known as golden triangle in kuala lumpur. The night life here are very laid back. Most people will be around here for a chinese food, dinner and coffee with listening to a life band which play at the side walk. of BB Plaza. There are a pub and bistro, restaurant and pub but the place are not as noisy as other club at Jalan P.Ramlee, Jalan Penang or Jalan Sultan Ismail. Most people will sit at the coffee house at the side walk of bukit bintang and have coffee after dinner, listening to the life band music, or watching a cartoonist with their drawing and such.

Trader's Hotel - Kuala-Lumpur

First night in our hotel, Trader's hotel near petronas. We’re both exhausted when we arrived. We ate dinner in a nearby restaurant.

The next day we woke up early, we had breakfast at the hotel the foods was good. We went to Bukit bunting, Twin Tower, The Genting Theme Park located at Genting Highlands in Bukit Tinggi , the park is easily accessed by road Kuala Lumpur or cable car ( first time ko sumakay CC. lol...) from the foothill.
Some of the highlights are the roller coaster, tube drop, Flight Simulator and Splash Pool. The park is a destination for those after fast-paced excitement as it is full of amusement games, interactive rides and superb shows. There are also many restaurants and eateries inside the covered area.

We also went to Berhaja Hills the view was nice enjoy talaga.

Santa claus

Christmas is around the corner and the market is flooded with goods related to the festival, be it stuffed Santa Claus, or gifts laden glitzy trees! But, what caught my attention is the Santa.

I sure hope this Santa comes down my chimney.

Tanaka Kikinzoku Kogyo took three months to design a 1'3" tall Santa that weighs 44lbs.
He is made of pure gold and has 1.7 diamond carats in his belt.
And, there are two of them!
One is in Tokyo and the other is in Osaka.
The price...Y200 million = $1.817,355.
I hope this little fellow comes down my chimney.

whewww what a spectacular santa claus... =)
